cheap intercooler piping can be had on ebay under the cxracing name. as for the intercooler, if the previous owner was an idiot enough to use pcv piping, i'm sure theres a junk intercooler in there too. any reputable company will put their name on the intercooler. if theres no name, then its junk most likely. key rule of thumb: ebay intercooler piping is fine, ebay intercoolers are less than great

I'm probably going to be getting a decent intercooler and some real piping within the next few weeks.

I also went to get legal and put some plates on the car and I don't have any screws on the back holder. I couldn't find any screws to fit at the parts store so I need to get those also. I also may have a parts car with a good matching paint job for 500$.... getting pretty excited about this car. Hopefully it won't be a piece of junk for much longer.

might be a bit much for a k03, but you're planning on upgrading, right?

get that ic with a ebay piping kit i listed earlier and your set for cooling. if you have an 00 or 01 youll need an adapter from 034 to weld onto the piping for your map sensor

 

The Treadstone core Redline posted was designed specifically for the B5 1.8T in conjunction with a few guys on Audizine. That would be a great choice. As he mentioned its a tad big for a K03, but if you're planning on upgrading anyway it would keep you from having to buy things twice.

 

I've got some pictures. Cleaned out the interior and it is super stained. Washed and waxed the car and found out how bad the paint is. I also need to fix the door panels and windows. I just have to find out how to post the pictures.

 

This is the car when I first got it. Outside pretty much looks the same. All I have really done is a wash the whole car along with a buff and wax job on the bad paint areas.




These are just some close ups of the terrible sun baked paint. Looks like Texas can mess up a car pretty well when the paint is protected.



These show the FMI set up. I did not do this I bought the car looking this way. If you look close you can see some of the painted PVC pipe. There is more that was heat wrapped.

So.... I pulled aftermarket head unit and found out it is a DVD player with a screen. Also found out the whole stereo system is a complete rats nest. I got the door panels off and found out the windows will not roll up for a while. I got the passenger side window propped up so it wont leak.

Removed the back seats for a place to put my subs once I get the sound system worked out. Interior looks pretty trashed. I am thinking I might have to make a custom center console since the stock console was installed to tight so all the mounting points cracked.

MORE and then MORE! bad news. Im gonna need some help with this one guys.
