How do you find out what HP your car has? I just got a 2001 A4 Quattro 1.8T but I don't know how to find out the Horse Power that the car has.. And I am wondering will the car run if the Turbo does not work... I can't hear any whine when I get on the accelerator... Maybe it's my poor hearing! LOL!

Its based on model year/engine code. You have an 01 with a AWM engine and 170hp but still a B5. You cant hear the turbo because you are running little boost stock and have the air box on. Chip the can and you will have more boost and turbo noise. Add in a intake and you will be able to hear it even better.

Also if you add a new exhaust with your cone filter, and get rid of resonators, you'll be able to hear your turbo whistle when you go above ~ 3psi (faint at first, then loud as ****). It's louder than the exhaust, but it sounds mean.
