Default New member...coolant leak question.

Sorry guys for not making an intro.
Im truely posting for my girlfriend...She has an 01 1.8t, shes had plenty of problems but still loves the car dearly. ANYWAY. She recently pick up a slow coolant leak from her reservoir...from a small bung like object on the bottom of the reservoir. Mainly interested in any info on a DIY fix because refilling her G12 gets rather pricey. If you guys dont know of this problem or of a solution besides replacing it, I understand. Thanks guys...sorry for the wordiness.

Matt

I would say the only fix would to put some epoxy on it which I don't recommend. You can get a new reservoir for reasonable if not even a salvage yard.

i am thinking it is probably the water pump but you should get it checked by a mechanic it might be something else
