I have a 2001 S4 wagon with about 140 k. I recently got the AC recharged and the serpentine belt replaced as part of a tune up/oil change. Soon after a coolant leak began. Now it is leaking a lot after the engine warms up around the water pump I think. The water pump was replaced when the timing belt was done at 110 k. Could any of the recent work cause the pump to go so soon? Or was the pump bad?

its probably your auxiliary water pump, under the intake manifold.
