new project-I will FOREVER be a 12v 2.8
The sticker is a complete joke. I hate the show and the dbags on it but ya can't help but laugh when ya watch it Haha. If you knew me you'd know how much of a goof I am, so no its not to be cool or because I like that show. Its just a joke to make people laugh a little
I received a few cool pieces over the past week.
My fairly large intercooler...31x12x3 My goofy *** holding it. Yes, I know i'm sexy, but this is to show the size of the intercooler, and not my incredibly dashing good looks, so please try to focus :P
This is a picture of the intercooler set behind the bumper, fits nicely IMO. Not only does it need to perform well, but it has to visually be appealing too, and theres nothing more I hate than seeing a small intercooler behind a large opening...needs to be aesthetically pleasing. The intercooler will be anodized black, as I do not want it to stand out heavily, and with the car and most of the parts on it being a darker color, I think it will look better this way.

and a picture of my new Eurojet Grenade Diverter Valve. This is the last NEW one in existence...they stopped making these a while back, but I was able to locate one...next to a picture of the decal haha

well...I have some good news and some bad news...
bad news first-my b5 was hit in the parking lot of my work...front fender, headlight and bumper are all messed up.
good news-it was my OTHER B5
Just my daily driver, so i'm not TOO concerned. I'm going to find a fender at the junkyard, not worry about the bumper, and find a used headlight.
the OTHER good news-State Farm is cutting me a check for $2600 to fix the damage, so what do I do? Well...i'll use it for my forged internals and turbo!
here is a pic of the carnage

Also, picked up the motor today! (I know the picture is terrible, it was taken in low light in the garage)

Tomorrow evening I will get started (hopefully) on disassembling the motor. I then need to get it off to the machine shop so that I can get the piston chambers measured to ensure proper fitment of the pistons. I'm going to try to stick with the stock 81mm bore, so keep your fingers crossed that the piston chambers are able to JUST be honed, rather than needing to be bored. After I have confirmation that I can use the 81mm pistons, I will then order the pistons and rods, as well as other miscellaneous parts needed to build the bottom end.
I also plan to order the turbo this next week. I'm going to go with a Garrett t67, which is capable of up to 700hp. (yes i'm shooting for big numbers with this build)
So, that's all I have for now...This is actually the only forum I have this build posted on thus far, so feel privileged haha jk.
