Newb looking for advice.
Looking to trade my SC mustang for something more civil and this car came up for a trade. Sounds pretty nice to me but i am doing my research to learn as much as possible about these cars. I hear they can be quick and a buddy of mine owned a very fast S4. What kinda numbers are attainable out of these rides with maintaining the comfort and quality of the car? I like to go fast and race around so I still need that haha. Also it was said it will need a clutch soon and i checked the parts and they seem to be pretty pricey. could i get away with replacing the clutch and not worrying about the fly wheel? the guy wants 6k cash for it but i dunno if its worth that much. give me your ideas and thoughts thanks.
1999.5 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro
5spd manual transmission with new bushings
all power options
1 touch (up AND down) power windows all around
climate control (fresh A/C recharge, heat and a/c are very strong)
new factory battery
rubber floor mats that haven't been taken up, oem carpet is MINT
fresh oil change at current mileage
incredibly mint black cloth interior
factory red paint still very excellent condition
12X,XXX miles, 6Xk on new engine replaced at 10X,XXX miles
bigger Audi RS4 (K04) turbo
JE 9-1 forged pistons with 337 gti rods
APR Tuned chipped ECU upgrade
Greddy electronic boost controller w/turbo timer
Automoter boost gauge
Greddy BOV
ebay 3-core Intercooler
lowered with bilstein performance shocks all around and H&R springs
Audi A6 16x7" wheels
JVC head unit CD/MP3 with AUX jack for mp3 players
new 4" speakers front and rear with new front tweeters and boxed 12" subwoofer
kami's grill
tinted windows 20% rears, 35% fronts
no rust, no bubbles, ohio car
cons:
-Intercooler is too big for the front bumper, so the lip at the bottom is not perfectly matching to the bumper
-There is a scrape on the drivers side front bumper
-The Greddy BOV leaks, but I can provide a brand new one with an adjustable spring depending on sale price
-Clutch slips under "HI" boost setting when spooling at lower rpm's (it's a stock clutch, daily drivability is perfectly fine, but if you wish you get the full potential of the power I'd reccomend a stage 2 or higher clutch+flywheel)

The biggest thing is why is he getting rid of it?
Check the FAQ thread at the very top of the B5 section, loads of info in there to help you decide if Audi is right for you.
EBC and BOV in my mind means he's messed something up, sick of messing with it, and trying to dump it off to the next guy. I obviously could be wrong, and the guy knew what he was doing, and everything it fine. Just a word of caution, that's all.

I did some more research and a clutch is looking like its going to be around $500. Car seems to be in great shape and looks really good too. He is willing to get a new clutch and take car of the BOV problems as well. He might even put a little cash on top of that for a trade for my car. I think I might want to do it.
