no longer a quattro virgin
call me a noob, but i gotta say, i now know the wonders of awd.
i went from a truck to this and i gotta say, the only difference.... is this is bearable ALL seasons.
a buddy and i went up to snoqualmie pass but we took a backroad full of a foot and a half of fresh powder and my car simply plowed through it no problem...(as long as i kept speeds up around 2nd gear, lol)
anywho, sorry to be that typical guy, but i just had to say somethin to someone. so i figured what better place than here!

I know what you mean. I too have a 99 Quattro. Being in Tennessee, we don't get much snow here, but we got some last week. Our snow is very different from the stuff up north in that it is often more ice than snow. Anyway, suffice to say my Quattro went on through it with no problem at all, and I did see several poor saps on the side of the road or in the ditch.
Oh...I also came from a truck. And yes...I love the way the Audi handles. Much better ride than my Tacoma.
