Default No start 1998 2.8 (AHA) crank position sensor

Does anyone know how to identify, locate, change the crank position sensor on an 1998 2.8 (AHA) with auto trans?

I think they started calling it the RPM sensor on the AHA's, God knows why. But it sticks in the bell housing on the driver's side. I think it's a lot like an ABS sensor. A bolt holds it in, they you just pry it out.

As mentioned previously, the sensor is located on the driver's side of the transmission. There is on10mm bolt that holds it in. The plug is grey and located on the secondary firewall behind the coolant tank. When installing the new sensor, be sure to use the aluminum spacer from the old sensor. Otherwise it will rub on the flexplate and you will need another very soon. Ask me how I know .
