Default NO start, no CEL, battery fine

I have a no start condition, from searching it sounds like a bad ECU but I was wondering if it could be anything else. I put a code reader on and got the "Error" symbol instead of a code. The CEL light does not come on when the key is turned on or when cranking.

Any ideas?

Thnaks,

Lou

Well, based on a hint from Ghost6303 in another thread I disconnected the battery for fifteen minutes and reconnected it. Turned on the ignition and waited, the CEL came on right away. Car started right up and ran fine. Shut it off and it restarted again just fine.

Do you think I am facing impending doom on the ECM or is it OK ?

Default So far so good

The car has been driven daily for two weeks with no problems. Looks like it might be OK.
