Noob trying A/C Charge Help!
I just got my A4 two days ago, the A/C is cold but not quite cold enough so I got a recharge can, I went to hook it up to my low pressure port under the passenger side window the pipe closest to the battery, and when I try to hook the can up it lets the air in the lines out. I have never had this happen to any other car I re charged just hooked up the can and emptied it. But this line kicks air out instead of taking it in from the can. The line had a sensor on it that I had to take off. Can anyone help? IS this the right low pressure port for refill? I can't see another port to hook it up too and the nosle of the can fits it.

sorry my friend but your SOL, since you said you had a sensor over the line i know for a fact you have a 96-97 A4 and they had no low side port, only a high side on the a/c condensor. you need to take the car to the dealership to have them recharge it through the high side port, otherwise try contacting one of the audi techs and see if they can direct you otherwise.

I read that I either need to take it to an audi dealership to recharge or get an adaptor to do a High port recharge, anyone know where I can buy one at a parts store or am I just better off going to a dealer for a recharge?

Anyone know if there is a low pressure service port on the compressor itself? The guy at the auto parts store showed me the two high pressure lines one being where the 97+ low pressure port is. Then he pointed out on the compressor itself there is a little cap on a **** that he claimed was the low pressure port. And I should be able to hook my can up to that and re charge my system.
