Odd battery drain problem.
Hello from a newbie.
I had a a battery draing problem for a few years. Eventually I tracked it down to the minute hand of the cluster clock, of all things, the was surging to 1000ma every minute.
I confirmed this by removing fuse 15 and the battery no longer drained due to the clock not functioning.
I could not find any relay that may be to blame so I swaped out the instrument cluster, when I moved the minute hand of the replacement cluster, the same anoying surge.
At the moment i am at a loss at what it could be, I do notice that removing fuse 15 (at least I think it's that) gives the 'alarm triggered warning of boot, bonnet and doors' etc in Vagcom.
Does any one have any ideas about this? does any one know if you can disable the car alarm so i can see if that isn't interfering some where?
Thanks.
