Today I took a road trip into the mountains in East Tennessee and everytime I would go down a hill my oil pressure light would come on and I would get a warning chime. It would also happen if I brake hard. obviously when the two occur everything shifts forward toward the front of the car. The engine ran fine and Im running Mobile 1 5w-30 that I changed a few hundred miles ago when I acquired the car. Any ideas? I put some seafoam in the oil and plan on changing it this weekend. Thanks!!!!

 

seafoam before or after the oil pressure light problem.

I seafoamed mine and had similar symptoms to yours while the seafoam was in there. Oil change took care of it.

 

Seafoam after to break up the possible sludge.

 

sludge oil pan removal oil pump clean and replace good luck i am doing 1 now

 

Also, use M1 0w40, not 5w30.
