Default My Maintenance Thread

Well, I have a bit of maintenance to do when I finally make it home, and I was hoping for some advise as far as my plans, and how I should adjust them to maximize the bang for my buck.

To start, I'm sure it's time for me to do a TB, and I'm pretty sure Blauparts has the most complete kit available, and with the ability to rent the right tools for the job, I think that's an open a shut case for them. This will be a first for me, and I must admit, I'm a little nervous, but what's the worst that could happen?

From there, I think I need to change out my control arm bushings. My car squeeks going over bumps, while turning slow like into a parking spot, even just getting in and out of the car. The arms themselves look good, so I figured I could save some cash by swapping out the bushings. Again Blauparts has what looks to be a pretty complete kit here:

The question here is, am I going to need any special tools, and how difficult will this job be?

Next, I need a new passenger side outer CV joint.

I'm thinking, if I'm doing one, I might as well do the other just to be on the safe side.

So, I figured, since I'm in there, ripping everything apart for my CA's and CV joints, why not do the wheel bearings. This part makes me a little nervous as well. I'm a pretty basic skilled guy when it comes to mechanics, brakes, oil change, stuff like that. I know if I mess this up, I'm royally screwed. But, again, why not face the challenge head on?

Again, what kind of special tools might I need for this job?

So, all this should get me started and keep me busy for awhile. Is there anything else I should consider working on now before it fails and causes me more headaches in the long run?

Thanks in advance for any advise, suggestions, or tips you may have...
