chewster: i don't think anybody can tell you if your tranny is toast. just drive it until it dies on you since you have fluid in it now.

 

I pulled the pin on the tensioner while doing my TB before I installed it... see, we all do dumb **** sometimes...

As for the auto trans, I don't know anything about that, so I'm going to say do what ImTheDevil said... he's one of the B5 SME's...
