Default Oil change question

Im running mobile one 5w 30 and I'm about at 2900 miles. Since it's synthetic would you run it to 5000 miles or do you still change it every 3000? Thanks, also do you recommend any other oil that you have a personal preference on?

5k is fine but use 0w40 or 5w40 next time, or German Castrol (Castrol Syntec 0w30 European Formula - the European Formula part is important - Autozone has it). The M1 5w30 isn't that good. And if you do have a use for 5w30, you should go Pennzoil Platinum (or Ultra) over M1. And make sure you're using a good filter.

okay so you think that castrol syntec European formula would be the best for my car? i might do a oil change at 3000 with the mobile one just to get the right oil in there. im kinda paranoid on oils in my car.

I think it can be green or gold depending on whether it's made in Germany or... Belgium? I think...

Some very good oils for these cars in no particular order:
Castrol Syntec 0w30 European Formula
Mobil 1 0w40
Mobil 1 5w40
Amsoil European 5w40
Pennzoil Ultra European 5w40

but the color doesn't matter? just drain the old oil and put in the new castrol syntec in? kinda stupid question lol its just oil but never herd of oil being green and maybe having to do something different while changing the oil

Green is fine. You can wait another couple thousand miles if you want. M1 5w30 isn't that good but it's not horrible or anything.

I usually use Castrol Syntec 5W-30 every 3-4k. Its been fine for me. The key is to use full synthetic and to get a trusted brand.

Better than M1 5w30 but 5w30 is not an ideal oil weight. The 0w30 is really closer to 0w40 which is good.

I agree with everything you said except for the Pennzoil part. Honestly I heard that Pennzoil is garbage. I would use Mobil1 any day over that. It's like putting Arco in your gas tank.
