Hey, i changed my oil about 1600miles ago, and already my check oil light came on and it seems like i need oil. i know this isnt right, but is there any reason why this happened? im going to get another oil change tomorrow but id like to know if this ever happened to anyone

 

??? you have a leak if your check oil light came on. Check your oil level. Don't waste your money and get another not needed oil change. If it was 1600 miles ago you have lots left on that oil change. You need to see if there is a leak because chances are that you have one if it is the oil level light.

 

what type of oil are you using?
milage on the car?
what engine do you have?
leaving any oil spots?
any smoke or oil on the side of the engine?

All you need to do is top off the oil, but we need the above answerd to help you more

 

its the A4 2.8l, i used Quaker state 5w30, sythetic. i have 60,000 miles, i havent seen any oil spots but in the morning, ill jack the car and check for any possible signs of leaking, and i havent seen any smoke at all. ill check for oil leaking in the morning, and if i dont see anything i guess ill just add more oil

 

You'd pay to have an oil change done? isn't it like $60 at audi?[&:]
