Default Oil question..

Hey guys..
before I ask my question, I would like to thank you all for helping me out with my little problems..
You guys deserve and round of applause!
Thx!!

Here's my question.. and i'm convinced it's an easy one for a lot of you guys, except me..

I'm currently using 5w-40 as my engine oil.. but winter is coming really soon..
I wanted to know if it was okay to leave it at that formula (since it's what they call "europeen oil" (all weather), since the car's oil has been changed 1 month ago..

Thx again!!

5w-40 will be just fine.... 10w-40 doesnt even start to strain the starter till around -5.

-30C !? Where you at? Last year we got down to -20F.. the 5w-40 did fine..though if it gets that low, for more than a few days, I'd use Mobile's 0w-40...

I'd honestly switch over to 5-30 before it gets freezing, it will be a lil easier on warmup
