Default Opinions on value

I've had my 1997 A4 for 8 years now and its time to get somthing new. I wanted to get some ideas on what is a fair private party price to ask for it. I've checked kbb and edmunds and the delta between them is so much I'd rather get so current data from the community.

1997 A4 2.8 Quattro
128k miles
manual 5 speed
all the features (except nav)
In great condition, runs great, everything function, no computer faults.
Got new clutch, master cylinder, tires, and brakes this summer.
Has had all the regular service (timing belt at 90k)

I checked the prices on kbb and edmunds as fair condition all though the car is really in good condition.
kkb says $5700 private party
Edmunds says $3700 private party

I went to carmax just to get a ball park for trade-in and they appraised the car in good condition and offered $2500, I guess thats the desperate selling price.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I always use kbb prices, realy it depends on your area and the current supply.

I would also recomend using the kbb suggested price.
