Default Paint Problem?

Yesterday morning I went out to start my car (it's been FREEZING here; it was -8) and I found a large chunk of paint missing from the middle of my hood. I've attached a picture of it; it looks like little pac-man shapes just sheared off. Needless to say, I was pissed. THIS morning I go out to start my car, and the paint on the ENTIRE HOOD has peeled and cracked badly enough that if I put my finger on one of the loose chips the chip will stick to my finger and come off. The paint on the whole hood is shot. Anyone else experience this? First thing I thought was the cold, but in December it was near -20 every morning for a full week and it didn't bother it any. Could somebody have sabotaged my car with some chemical spray that would cause the paint to flake off like that? The car has a clean Carfax w/no accidents reported by the VIN, but that doesn't necessarily mean it didn't get into some sort of accident that never got reported or something I suppose. A friend of mine said it looks like it oxidized from a rock chip or something, but I wouldn't think it'd spread over the whole hood in less than 24 hours.

I know brake fluid can do similar to paint saw it done to a friends car once. Some chick was trying to get back at her boyfriend for cheating on her Well she didnt pay attention and her and her crew sabotaged the wrong car. Friends was same car and color as her boyfriends. Cought her on security tape at apartment building and took her *** to court and won she had to pay for full paint job. Paint looked ok but you touched it and it peeled right off

Sad thing is, I haven't done anything to **** anyone off enough to want to mess with my car.

I'm tempted to buy a can of spray paint and save up for a carbon fiber hood....

Got a can of spray paint and painted the hood so as not to leave the bare metal out in the elements to get rusted. Looks like crap, but better than a paintless hood I guess. I got to looking at the paint chips that came off the hood, and I'm pretty sure it got a replacement hood/paint at some point. There was just BARELY a little tiny bit of primer. Whoever painted it didn't do a very good job. I guess a few people my mother works with had similar problems on their vehicles (none are Audis, or even European cars) after going thru the same local car wash I tried a couple days ago........thought about confronting the owner, but I'm just going to try to make the rattle can paint look decent until I can save up for a CF hood.
