Yea if you mark the chain and corresponding tooth. But its very easy to have the chain slip a tooth on either cam, especially the exhaust cam because the chain is slack. I always do it at tdc, that way I count the rollers between timing marks on the cams and line them up with the marks on the caps all at once.

Yeah, we marked everything and all...I dunno bro. Its weird that now its idling fine...it wouldnt run right if it was off a tooth. Even when I checked it tonight and there were 16 links, if it had jumped i would have seen it...hopefully the reinstall will fix it.

So I did the reinstall and this is what I came up with. I put it at TDC so the exhaust cam notch matched up to the cam cap. Then from there I counted out 16 and matched that up with the intake cam notch. When everything was bolted back the intake cam notch and the cam cap were slightly off...I tried everything but it was either off to the left or to the right...not even an 18th of an inch.. I put everything back, torqued correctly and fired it up. It still had the tick but it went away when it warmed up and with a little revving. It misfired but I pinpointed that it was on the coilpack connector so I ordered a new one from ecstuning. When I get the new connector on, I will take it out and see what its doing. No codes other than the misfire...

Tick has started to become less and less audible. I used this stuff called Marvel Mystery Oil and it has helped out. My misfires were corrected by installing new coil pack connectors. Hopefully this will help anyone else.
