Default Power steering leak?

I seem to have a high pressure leak if something like that is even possible. I was driving my car (1.8T) last night and while at a stop sign I noticed some smoke coming from under the hood so I pulled over, left the car running and opened the hood and there was some kind of liquid shooting up, I couldn't locate were the leak was coming from because the liquid was hot and shooting all over the place. After freaking out I turned off the car and that's when I saw that there was a huge puddle of power steering fluid all over the ground in the front part of the car.
So now I'm wondering what it could be because I can't find anything like my problem online. My theory is that is some sort of leak in one of the high pressure hose of the power steering and the leak is causing the liquid to shoot up somehow?
Any ideas on what problem I might be having?
Note: The smoke was only at the stop sign after that I didn't see any more smoke.
Note 2:The part of the car I was looking at was the right side, I looked down towards the radiator hose, didn't see anything but I think the leak was somewhere around there.

the rack is at the back of the bay so it shouldn't be power steering problem. Hows the power steering feel, if there is a leak it would be hard as **** to turn. Its possible your coolant is leaking and spraying everywhere, what color was the fluid?

The color is a mix between reddish/brownish, the reason I don't think is coolant is because the liquid hasn't evaporated yet and it's like 105 outside which leads me to think is power steering and hopefully not oil. The steering is fine but the reservoir is now really low on fluid.

thats coolant, it sounds like someone mixed green and g12. Or it has oil in it.

If it's coolant and oil mixed what can be some of the causes?

oil cooler or head gasket usually the culprits.
