The clip doesn't fit into the sleeve socket. Let me know what you think.

That may be it because when I got my oil changed and a few other things this past weekend, the tech said that he used to have an audi same year as mine and the dipstick should be farther down in the engine. When I get out of class today im gonna take the cover off and post a picture of where it is when in the engine so you guys can see if it's far enough down.

On another note, I guess it's not hurting anything because it is still sealed good just when I push it in there.. but it's still frustrating none the less..

where is the long metal piece that goes into the base???

then the tube right that correct ?? as there are two tubes that have that very same looking one but one is shorter or the other one is longer depending how you look at it as there was a mid year change on that model

go to ecstuning they have the pics and if need be I actually have the tubes ect............ look your model up go to maintence (SP) and the eggine click dipstick at top

I looked on ECS and it looks pretty identical.. Im gonna try to reposition the metal clip after class today and try to jimmy rig it to where I can try to fit the sleeve in it..

While guys are reading this=), my other thread about a noise in my engine isnt getting replies. Heres a video of a noise it makes when I accelerate around 2200 and sometimes at 2700 rpms only in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8VHrL77LHk
Someone mentioned it could be a loose heat shield..its coming from the engine too, and doesn't happen when I rev it in neutral.

Thanks
