Problems after seafoam
so a few questions.. whered you get the write up on the 2.8?? all i have found is for the 1.8t and i dont know which vac line to hook it up to.. also, I wanted to do the oil, so how long should i drive it for b4 an oil change after seafoaming the oil?? like 50 miles or what? also I am due for spark plug change.. has anyone used pulstars here.. i know they are 25 each but hell, why not try something new that has a ton of hype about it right... and does anyone know where i can get a thin wall spark socket for the v6s lil *** spark plug holes?
Now to partially threadjack (but not really since it's about a question from the OP anyhow):
A4Cragman, I saw I missed a couple calls from you - I don't know the exact spec for the cluster bulbs, but to remove the cluster you just pop the top trim piece off the column back where it meets the dash - not the column trim that actually encloses the column, but the bezel-like piece where the column enters the dash. Pop that off, undo a couple screws, and pull the cluster out. You'll need to bring it out (if I remember right) at an angle, bringing out the end with the oil temp gauge first, reaching in to unplug the cables, and then bring it the rest of the way out. Install is the reverse.
Hell I last seafoamed at 166k and did it exactly how A4Cragman did - half in the oil, half in the vacuum, full can in the tank. Worked like a charm. No worries.

Cool, thanks for the info on the cluster removal. I'll try to get to that this weekend, its driving me nuts not being able to see half of my speed gauge.
when you get the cluster out and check the bulbs, let me know if you have the right ones. If not I'll send you a couple - last summer we cleaned out a lot of miscellaneous parts from the Audis at the local salvage yard, and I have at least 20 cluster bulbs. I can send a few to you if you need them.

I haven't bought the new bulb off ECS yet that I had found though, so if you could hook me up with one or two of them, that'd be fantastic. I'd save me having to place a 99 cent internet transaction at least
Considered that, but matching silver paints is super tedious. Unless you've used a specific shade of Duplicolor that has worked well, then I'm all over it. Do share if you know the right shade that'll match my silver
