Problems, should I get rid of my car?

Oh, your right, reading comprehension go! I see less 2.8s with misfires, but those i see more injector issues with, rather than ignition. Again, paying a mechanic for some diagnostic time is well worth the investment. Usually it would be roughly the same cost as replacing a part you didn't need to

Just update with what your guy says with the vag-com....and learn to do your own brakes!

If you have a decent electric drill, you should be able to pick up a set of EZ-outs for less than $20 and then you can pull your stripped lug nuts yourself. Sounds like you already have a plan, but just wanted to throw that out there if you're seriously short on cash.

I have a 2000 Audi A4 1.8T 5-Speed Manual doing on 429850 Original Miles as of 10/26/2012, and still running. I am the ONLY Owner, and I am presently working on P0411 and Check Valves Issues with Ken at European Performance and Repair at 772-770-1299.
