do this, get a set of projectors headlights with 6k HIDs and put in fog lights in the bumper and you'll feel like you have all the light you need. that's what i'm running and i don't care how dim the light is on any road, i never use my highbeam except to tell people to take the turn or to flash at others with their highbeams in my eyes. if you're getting the one piece lights, you'll need to do what siena said. HIDs will not shine into people's eyes unless you have the lights aimed like that. i have mine set so that they will only shine in people's eyes if their car is lower than mine or if i'm on a hill. they are much brighter but the light is more controlled.

again like siena said, you're not gonna melt anything unless you run like 75watt bulbs

 

ok thanks for all of the replies everyone. is there a preferred place where i should mount the ballasts should i go with the hid's?
