Putting in a SSQV
Ok i have a Auto 1.8t A4 quattro and i just got a ssqv used for like 2 month's on a sti for dirt cheap and i was wondering what i need to have to install it in my car i know you can use it on our car's.I got it for like 70.00 buck's it's better then paying 150 for a DV in my case trying to pinch a penny hear and there.Just wondering what i need to get and i have looked but i have not been able to find anything in the forum about what i need unless i did not look good enough. If there are any threads out ther that would help me in the install i would like to see it
Thank's a alot guy's.

well, i was say you need to leave it in the box, but....
if you really want to use it, you might want to get a recuirc kit...... does it look like it will fit in the stock location? or will you need to get an adapter
take a pic and post it of the exact valve

I'm running a BOV on my car, I have it recirculated, and for some reason I'm still getting a rich code...just do yourself the favor, sell it, and find a used diverter valve. I've seen um go for as little as 80 bucks in the classifieds. You are going to have to buy an adapter so that it will fit into your pipe ($20) and then the recirc stem ($33) http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=798 so you are better off just finding a Diverter Valve. Is there anything wrong with yours now that you can't wait?

I think i have to put it in a different location over all unless i really squeezes it in there but i just might have to take it to a shop so they can fabricate me a flange for it and that's gonna cost me some nice $$$$$$ big one's i would think
Good deal right here
You aren't going to hear the BOV much on an automatic. The throtle plate doesn't close between shifts. Only time you'll hear it is when you get on it real hard and then let of... Since it's stock boost levels it'll be even less audible. You might have a problem with it venting at idle when it shouldn't.

I will take a pic when i can i got school and work and i dont have that much time.
and do i really need a reci kit i have seen people running them to the atmosphere and car run's just fine and plus i have a 2001, wont the ECU adapt it's self to running the BOV in like a couple of day's or is that just a myth? And no there's nothing wrong with my stock DV but im getting a APR tune in the next month or so and i want to get the small thing's out of the way now so i dont have to worry about them later. For example my boost gauge and the BOV.

The ECU measures the air in the intake before the DV, if you then vent all that air that the ECU has measured and added the corresponding amount of fuel, you will run rich between every shift. The ECU will not "adapt" to a BOV. While it may work, its not great and its not designed to be run that way.
