Quattro question
If I break a CV joint in one of my axles will my car continue to drive okay? enough to get me back and forth from work one more day(60 miles).
Heard a loud snap as I rounded a corner on a slushy road, but I continued to move so I kept going until I got home. Now I've got to get to work... little worried it's going to leave me sit somewhere

Thats pretty much what I thought... funny thing is, it sounds fine. No noises and even no vibrations or anything. I drove it to work and it seems like everything is okay. Putting it on the lift tomorrow and see what the heck happened. Weird.

I thought I felt it through the whole car. I have suspected my front front driveshaft because I've heard a very faint clicking from there once and a while (but it's been quiet for the past month or so).
Definately not a rear spring as I just replaced those last fall. Thanks for all the suggestions.

What I found so far
Here's a pic of my CV joint I suspect caused my noise. I found the smaller boot clamp had broke at some point but it didn't look like there was any grease coming out of it. I don't see any broken pieces inside yet, but there is some play in the joint in a twisting motion. There wasn't as much grease as I thought there should be, but it wasn't dry either.

Anyone think the inner part of the joint could have "slipped" on the splines of the shaft?
