question about the 1996 a4
I'm putting an end to this...!
1. ALL A4 engines are mounted longitudinally
2. ALL year A4s were offered with FrontTrack or Quattro as an option
3. Look under the rear of the car. If there are not two rear axles and a rear differential, it's not Quattro! If there is an axle at each of the 4 wheels, it's Quattro!
That's it. Done.

Guess I'll have to try the 130 MPH once I get my damn coil pack fixed...
well im not sure on coil packs... but i did a compression test today in class on my car and 1,3,4 and 6 were like 180-195.... but 2 and 5 were 150 dry... when i did a wet compression test they jump up to 175 and 180... so i found out i have bad rings lol... at least it isnt bad valves lol
B5s do not come in rear wheel drive.
you know what i would do to figure this out? red light. floor it. if there is tire spin then it is fwd. the 12valve engine does not have near enough power to spin all four wheels. i know. i have tried......
