Default Question about tie rods...

I went in for a wheel allignment today and the mechanic called me back and told me that the car needs new tietods.. He showed me that the tires in the front wiggles a little bit back and forth.. Is this mechanic bs, or do I really need new tie rods.. If so, how much are they?

Well after bargaining he agreed to do the aligment for only 40 bucks. So yeah it's a pretty good deal.

$40 alignment is a decent deal nowadays.
so, $175 total? thats worth not having to do it yourself.

Well I'm too lazy to put that sh*t on jacks, it's a lot easier just to pay 20 bucks for someone else to do it. It's not like a timing belt..
