when I say "cheap" dont get me wrong, scat rods are very good quality. they are just less expensive.

There is a 1.8T w/ a GT3076R on AZ using stock pistons and SCAT rods, and he is doing just fine (that setup should be able to run 320WHP+ on pump gas, which is around 410 crank HP)

There is also Pauter and Eurospec rods, but they are 600-800$ a set, compared to SCAT which is 300$ or so a set... and they around the same quality.

May I ask what you are upgrading too?
