you might have to compress the plungers in the brake calipers, but no special tool that I've ever had to use. Hex wrench, flathead screwdriver, and maybe a pair of vise grips should do it.

You have to remove the caliper from over the rotor but you don't disassemble it. There are two Allen socket bolts that hold the caliper to the carrier - 7mm I believe. When those are removed you can lever the caliper off the carrier. Then the carrier comes off - a pair of 17mm hex bolts. Take that off and the rotor comes off. In the rear make sure the e-brake isn't set or the rotor won't come off. Be sure to put new pads on anytime you replace rotors. Go to the DIY section of this forum and check the "budget brake upgrade" article - it'll help you out.

you need a special tool for the rear to reset the auto adjusting parking break. you cant just compress the rear pistons like you can the front, you need a tool to twist the piston at the same time. you can get something called a "break cube" or rent the nicer tool at any autozone.

The boot shouldn't twist - use a pick or a small screwdriver to separate the boot and piston before you continue. Also be sure you pop the cap off the reservoir so you can compress it more easily.
