Default quick question

i was wondering if anyone here would be able to tell me if there is supposed to be a hose connected to the bottom of the coolant resivoir, i know there is a hose connected to the front but i dont know if there is one that is supposed to connect to the bottom. the reason why i ask is i got my audi back from my mechanic a couple weeks ago after getting some work done but now my engine has blown head gasket, im trying to find out if it was his fault

What did you have done to the car to make you think the blown head gasket is related?

I don't think a water pump change wouldve caused that. How do you know it's blown? Are you constantly overheating or burning coolant or oil, or mixing coolant and oil?

And agreed above - no hose on the bottom of our reservoirs. The only connection under there is the coolant level sensor.

Coolant and oil mixed could be caused by a failed oil cooler. Are you sure it's a blown head gasket? Have you had it confirmed by a garage or?
