race gas question

I used to run 87 in my car even with the GT35r since I had a 8.5:1 CR, just ran it on my 91 tune. Thats how I used to drive it on my long 7 hr trips to 034, over to Sac raceway and then back home. That was back when the A4 was my only car.

Do the 1.8Ts not require 91 stock?

Yes it does if it has a stock motor. My motor was fully built with lower compression which allowed me to run lower octane on the same tune, plus I run stand alone so I can tweak the timing map while driving.
