Default Radiator Support Panel (aka Lock Carrier) Compatibility

I need to replace mine due to an accident. I was wondering if any of the b5 4 cylinder radiator support panels would be compatible with my 2001 1.8t AWM 5 speed manual quattro. I heard somewhere that the 1.8 non-turbo radiator support panel wouldn't fit my car, don't know how true that is.

So I asked the junkyard to send me a lock carrier (radiator core) that would fit my 2001 AWM 1.8t and the part arrived today. Just one problem, it says V6 on the sticker that came with it.

Does anyone know if this is compatible with my car?

Ok, it turns out that it is not compatible. Sent part back for a full refund, now I need to find a new one. Which model years are compatible with my b5 2001 AWM? Does anyone know?

I think it's only 1.8T 2000-2001. You can contact Skokan in NY (that's where I got mine), but shipping might be costly from there, but they will at least be able to tell you which years fit. You could also call the dealer and check.

Wish I would of seen this earlier so I could have helped you out. i assume this is the entire part that pulls out to put it in service mode? They are not compatible because the fact the 1.8t has an intercooler tube on the bottom and the 2.8 does not. Same for a 1.8 non turbo but those aren't available in the states.

The boost cross-over tube is separate from the support.
