i bought my 97 a4 about 3 weeks ago and the radio has bad reception everything is hooked up does anybody have any suggestions?

 

suppose the obvious guess would be check the antenna plug

 

Pop down the back of your headliner(the last 4 or 5 inches)there is a black box mounted to the glass that has three antenna wires and one ground wire inspect this for any crack in the plastic(do not try to remove it unless it has the cracks it is easy to damage the antenna module) if it has cracks in it then you need a new one your local dealer should have it in stock.
