I recently changed the stock Bose radio to a Pioneer head unit... Now my questions is this: is there a way to power on the Pioneer unit without having to turn the key to ignition and use my battery? Like for example, on the Bose radio u could power it on without the key being there and would just shut itself off.

I believe that's a vagcom and bose thing. I'm not sure it'll work like the stock head unit.
