The cd player on the factory radio in my 2001 A4 is dead. I would like to get a new raio for it. Any suggestions? I saw posts in the past about good systems to use, but can't seem to find them now. HD tuner would be nice.

just find the one that suits you and get a kit to hook it up. any aftermarket radio will work as long as u buy a harness

 

If you have the money, my suggestion would be the OEM Audi Navigation RN-D. Not a perfect fit but close.

Or my other suggestion would be the Pioneer Avic D3.

It is difficult to fit an after market radio into the 2001.
You'll need a custom pannel to fill the space around the HU.
Our rear speakers are amplified, so they must be replaced.
I looked into this in March 2006 when HD first appeared.
