I have a problem. My 2001 1.8t AWM won't start. The regular belt turns but the timing belt doesn't turn. It looks like the bottom timing belt gear that possibly goes to the crankshaft is spinning. Is it just a bad timing belt? Do I need a new head? Can I bolt a aeb head to my AWM block?

Well you will need see what is broken and fix it. Also need to pull the head and see if any valves are bent before buying another head.
Yes you can bolt a AEB head to a AWM block.

It was just my timing belt when I tried to start it all the teeth on the crank shaft got pulled out got new timing belt in but I think the timing is off cuz it has a ruff idle and sounds like crap. I lined up the top camshaft line w the block line and lined up the crankshaft line w timing belt cover line am I missing some thing? Should I run a lil advanced timin? I'm running peak 17-12 pounds of boost at redline w water n methanol injection and 98 Oc. How much timing is safe ?
