Random Misfires, please help.(First ever post)
I have a 2001 A4 with the 2.8.
I started getting misfires a few months ago on cyl. 2&6 on hard acceleration or under a load like climbing.
Changed plugs to new bosch +2. No help
Changed fuel filter. No help
Ran seafoam in tank. No help
Ran Techron twice. No help
Changed Coils and wires. Original problem went away, but a new one started.
Now I get P0300 random Misfire, P1395 Ig Coil Pwr Output Stg 3 Malfunction, P0303 Cyl 3 misfire, P0305 Cyl 5 misfire.
Tried checking Vacuum lines and all looked good.
Ran Seafoam through vacuum, no help.
When it mis fires it seems random, will run good for a few days and then start, sometimes 5 minutes sometimes 30. May run good for just a few minutes before it acts up. Warm, cold, it doesn't seem to matter. Sometimes when it is missing, I shut off the engine and it will run goo dfor a while.
But when it's doing it now it is definitely through all RPMs an drough idle. I assume because it's on 4 cylinders.
Where should I be focusing my efforts?
Please help!

just a long shot, but did u check the ICM's? I had a similar problem and that was the cause. Funny, I'm having misfire issues as well. Seems to be MAF or vacuum related but nobody from this forum seems to have any input for me. Good luck
