Something about 1700 rpm jumped out of my brain yesterday as I was driving, and I noticed MY cam tensioner noise started there as well. Plus super nasty sounding at idle. This is after having changed the Timing Belt and everything else on the front end earlier this week, as a point of reference.

$300 OES tensioner due Tuesday via UPS, which is good because the looks at stop lights and parking lots are getting embarrassing.

Only ABS troubleshooting after that and the car should be relatively error free (although the power steering is whining so probably due a flush).

i took apart the valve cover and everything works fine. hooked up my scanner and it said i had multiple misfires in cyl. 1 and 2. so i fixed that. noise is still there but its not in one place anymore. it seems to be transfering from the front to back of the motor every once in a while. this thing is confusing the hell out of me. i changed the oil with 5w 30. i seafoamd the car already aswell to no avail. the timing belt was changed at 80k. im at 116k now.
