Did you remove it at all during your rebuild? It does look a bit off..

I got the oil pump and lined it up so it spins perfect. Reinstalled the crank but forgot to put in the oil squirters... Crap. More updates either later tonight or tomorrow.

Yeah those are important lol. How's the cam/crank timing look?

There's timing marks on the block, crank, cam gear and valve cover. After the short block is put back together you can set it at TDC. The cams will need to be timed separately by counting links on the cam chain, then timed with the crank once you get the head put back on the block. You MAY want to have a shop assemble the head and time the cams, I've never done that so I can't really give you and help there. Let me see if I can dig up some pictures for you.

So I time the bottom end of the motor when the pistons are installed?

Well it's not really "timing" without the head on, you're just setting the #1 piston at top dead center to give yourself a starting point.

Put the crank dampner and lower tbelt cover on. Line up so piston one is at tdc. Install cams properly and set to tdc. Put head on block on torque down. Ensure crank and cams and cam gear are all at tdc. Place tbelt on and rotate crank a few revolutions. Place crank at tdc again and ensure cam gear is at tdc too. You'll be set

So should I wait until the head is on the block to time the cams? I have them set into place with the new seals on the front end of the cams. I have the chain around the dampener, are there notches on the ends of the cams to line up?
