so i need some opinions and ideas on how much a rebuilt title and the fact that a car has been rebuilt (B5 1.8t) would take off of say book value, if any? I'm just looking for ball park ideas here. Thanks a lot.

 

You'll probably only get 60%-70% of the quoted value with a branded title.

Carfax marketeers have done an amazing job of scaring everyone.

Take a brand new car and get into a single car accident and it gets fixed without effecting the title...

 

Those sound about right. Even trying to sell a car with salvage title is almost impossable unless its like a race car or going to be someones project car.

 

Okay thanks a lot the car I’m looking to buy has been “rebuilt” twice, first when it had 300 miles on it. All body damage it was in a single car accidents and slid into a bank it got fixed and sat in a tuner show room floor for three years. My buddy took it and got the frame checked when he bought it. Second time again all body damage my buddy swerved to miss a semi tire that exploded right in front of him and he lost it and rolled it just onto its top. I've seen pictures of the second accident and repair and everything. I can tell it is a very clean looking car, got fixed well and has very low miles under 40,000 and has been used to haul a car seat around since current owner bought it. Thank you for all your opinions now I’m just waiting for my truck to sell before I start talking to the current owner about price and stuff. Thanks!
