Default refinishing my wheels, first one done

well, in the process of...

all the wheels had been painted before by a previous owner and hadnt been done well cause they peeled and bubbled and then they got scratched up a bit. i just used some napa Duplicolor wheel spray paint metalic silver and then the clearcoat. not too sure about the level of gloss from the clearcoat.

i started with the spare and this is how it turned out. sorry for the crappy pics, didnt think about takin pics until i was already in it.

You can get a flat clear but I hear it's not as flat as some people want it to be. I've never used it so I wouldn't know first hand. All I know about flat clear comes from what I've learned from guys trying to do a satin finish on their hot rods.

looks really good! is that the duplicolor clear coat as well? maybe you put it on too thick?

im going to do this over the winter on my s4 wheels. i want to buy some 19s, but i have brand new tires on my stock wheels and dont really want to spend >1500 on wheels/tires right now

I'd like to do this as well but I think I'll wait until spring time. My wheels are curbed somethin fierce from the previous owner.
