I need to remove the door panel to get to the speakers. Looked up Bentley, but instructions don't seem to apply to my car (1996), showing a small cover hiding the handle screws (mine doesn't have it).

Only screw found was in rear of handle, but can't access the typical screws that bolt handle portion to door sheet metal. I suspect the smooth plastic of the handle itself must come off to reveal screw(s).

Can someone enlighten me?

 

There are 2 screws hiden under the plasic cover where the handgrip is u have to push that plastic down and you should see them and then u have to pull the pannel up so it can slide out do not pull twards you , i did that one time thinking it has clips that hold the pannel and i ended up breaking all of them

 

I have to go out and try to find the "oval" piece Bentley and this post is referring to.

Remove the screw in the armrest, inside the grab-handle area. Now remove the oval-donut trim piece that this screw was holding inplace, by snapping the trim piece downward. This will expose two screws; remove them.
