Default Removing the Auxilliary Fan

Can someone please help with removing the auxilliary fan on a 1998 2.8 Quattro A4. I have the one screw that holds it on out and understand that ring needs to be turned but it won't really tuen.

It turns, it's just usually stuck. Figure out which way to turn it and tap it with a hammer or something.

You mean the big nut behind the fan that attaches it to the pulley? It's a reverse-thread.

no. you take that screw out and on then on the very bottom of the fan there is a little clip latch. pull up on it and rotate the fan assembly out. you may need a mechanics mirror to look down there to see what i'm talking about.
