Default Revmeter jumps

Hi all, I am new here. This is my first post, so I am taking the opertunity to say hi

I have searched the forum for an answer to my problem, but my vocabulary isent as good at car part names..

I have a Audi A4 Avant Quattro 1.8Ts -97 that is chiped.
And I have a problem with the rev of the engine (don“t know the name), when the normal rpm should be around 1000rpm, the rev jumps randomly. And I don“t know what the problem is..

I have tryed to use startgas (like "nos) around the intake parts, but nothing. (I was looking for a sudden rev up). And I have taken the intake / CAI apart, but everything is like new. The spark plugs looks good..

Hope anyone have some sulution or "try this" to help me with.

I am not a total noob at cars, but at turbo I am.. So maby there is somthing wrong with it that I doesent hear or feel.. Ye, you know what I mean.. I have droven a Honda Civic EG5 with GSR engine for a cople of years (built it myself from scratch..).. Ye, nothing of interest here. But maby can help someone to help explain to me what I should look for..

I had the same problem with my 98 a4 1.8 and it took me about a week to figure out what it was and it was a dirty throttle body. I used throttle body/carb cleaner and it worked perfectly after that but make sure that after you spray it in there that you wipe it out to get most of the gunk out of it and let it dry and do it a couple of times to make sure u get it as clean as possible. That should do the trick and if it doesn't then it might be a bad PVC valve but I cleaned mine as well with the carb cleaner just in case. So let me know how it went

Does this happen all the time or only in specific situations?
