rpm gauge bouncing

Sounds like you may need a throttle body adaptation. It happened to me when i let the car sit for a long time. I changed the plugs and it helped but still jumped and the mechanic told me to get the throttle body re-adapted. It worked. It's about $115 flat from the dealer- don't let them charge you for anything else or inspect the car.

P1611 -MIL Call-up Circuit / Transmission Control Module Short to Ground

could be a loose wire somewhere or a problem with your instrument cluster or transmission control unit.
