Are they NUTS? Temperproof triple square. What do they come up with next?
Thought I got any weird/crooked tool Audi have thrown on the DIY way to annoy us. But here is another one.

FCP has it?

Default No GL-5 in front/center

For the Allroad, I heed your advise and go with MTL straight!

GL-5 (due to the increased level of additives making it 'tougher') is more agressive. Some GL-5 claim to be 'safe' for yellow metals. Ditto some Gl-4/5 combos. Most agree to stay away from anythign GL-5 for the GL-4 front/center.

GL-5 for rear only.

I'm not sure about the volume required by the allroad, but I would assume it is similar. When filling the transaxle, I found it useful to run a hose up into the engine bay with a funnel.

I'm not sure on the Passat FWD, but the auto A4 will have a separate fill for the center diff (tail housing of the transmission) and the front diff. I'm not sure of the volumes for each.

One last thing to be aware of is type of oil. Some people have reported having transmission trouble when running GL5 oils. The car was designed for GL4 and allegedly the GL5 can be damaging to the yellow metals used for syncros.

Only find Redline MTL on FCP.

Can someone link me to MT-90, MT-85 and the GL-5 for the rear diff (redline 75W90 NS GL-5 Gear Oil)?

ECS has Redline MTL but from what I've been hearing lately if you order something from them you may or not ever actually get it...
