Seafoam Treatment
First off, I have done some searching but can`t find quite what I`m looking for. I have a 1998 2.8L and I`m trying to spray aerosol Seafoam into the throttle body. The intake is on the rear of the engine with a tube that curves down behind everything and makes a 90degree turn into the engine. I removed the rubber hose between the airbox and the intake pipe and sprayed seafoam in from there. The engine did not stumble at all...it was like the seafoam wasn`t even going into the engine. I`m wondering if it was sitting in the bottom of the tube where it makes the turn into the TB.
Does anyone have any experiencing with this? Is there a better way with this engine?
Thank you for any input!

This is what I've always used in the past, with very good luck. The most improved was probably my old 4.3L TBI chevy.
Sea Foam Spray - Sea Foam Sales Company
I've only used the liquid in fuel and oil. Application is very simple and you just have to hold the rpm's a little and then kill it with spray at the end. Like I said, the A4 just ignored the spray completely. It was like I wasn't even spraying it in there at all which is making me think it was pooling in the bottom of the intake plumbing.
My main reason for wanting it in the intake is that my IAC motor isn't working properly. I am hoping this will save me from having to replace it.

IDK about the spray. I only use the bottle and it takes care of all 3 systems very well. Using a spray seems very limited and doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me when compared to how effective the bottle is IMHO.
I have used the bottle time after time.......till I found Mopar CCC.
It stands for combustion chamber cleaner, and it does just that. The advantage it has
over seafoam is that it expands into every crevice because it is a foam, opposed to liquid seafoam.
Seafoam is good for fuel and oil but Mopar CCC is superior when injecting it straight into the intake manifold or preferably through a vacuum pipe.
