what is a seafoam treatment exactly and what does it do

 

my ogd man search search search. but ill humor you with a short quick answer, seafoam is apretty much and engine cleaner, the seafoam treatment pretty much cleans the gas lines and injecters, crankcase and the intake valves and upper part of the engine. you get 2 bottles of it about $12 one goes int eh gas tank when its full. the other bottle goes half in teh crankcase (oil pan) and the rest gets sucked inthrough the vac lines into the engine itself. after this you shut her off and let it sit for 15 minutes. you can go more but wouldnt recommend it or is it neccessary. start it up and watch the smoke show. drive until your finished with your tank and change the oil. viola you just seafoamed. very good every20k or so on the 1.8t as it helps keep the oil pick up tube clear of sludge.
